Old friend of the Mets Carlos Delgado is eying a return to the Major Leagues in the near future. According to Jon Paul Morosi of foxsports.com, Delgado's agent David Sloane said that Carlos is still rehabbing his hip and would like to return this season. So far several teams have checked in on the free-agent slugger including the White Sox and the Red Sox. The Red Sox are in the process of scheduling a workout for Delgado in the next few days according to The Boston Herald.
Opinion - I wish Carlos Delgado all the luck in the world. Delgado was a very good Met. He was one of the key cogs on the 2006 NL East Champion Mets. I hope he gets a chance to play for a ring with a contender, something that he has only done once in his career. Good luck Carlos!
