Post-Game Wrap-Up: Marlins 11 Mets 4 - The Fish Do The Frying Tonight.


The Mets lost to the Marlins tonight by the score of 11-4. Another big loss for a club that just cannot get anything going. After the Mets jumped out to 4-0, the Marlins went on to score 11 unanswered runs beating Jon Niese and the Mets 11-4.


Jose Reyes left the game when he reaggravated his right oblique. The team says that he will not resume baseball activities until he is pain free.


David Wright went 2-3 and hit a long HR to LF in the first inning, giving him 21 HR's on the year.


Hanley Ramirez finished the series against the Mets going 10-15.


The Mets failed to gain on the WC leading Phillies who lost for the 4th day in a row, and still sit 7 games behind in the loss column and 4th place in the NL East.


The Mets will open a 3 game series tomorrow night against the Houston Astros. Nelson Figueroa returns to NY to face his former club. He is opposed by RHP Mike Pelfrey. Game time is 7:10PM.
