According to mlb.com, Manny Ramirez and his $4.3 Mil remaining salary will be awarded to the Chicago WhiteSox in a straight waiver claim.
The last straw fell yesterday when Manny was sent in to pinch hit with the bases loaded and he was ejected after one pitch for arguing the call. This is a nice pick up for the White Sox as Manny will definitely their struggling offense and Ozzie Guillen and Co. should be able to keep his personality in check. Only trailing the Twins by 4.5 games for the division lead, this move might be enough to get the Sox over the hump.
