News: Jenrry Mejia promoted to Triple-A

The Mets have promoted RHP Jenrry Mejia from Double-AA to Triple-AAA Buffalo. His first start will be made on Monday VS Syracuse.

This could be a foreshadow of him returning to the big league club when rosters expand on Sept 1st. I think this is a very good move. If the Mets are completely out of the WC race come the beginning of SEPT, they might as well bring up Mejia and see what he can do as a starter on the Major League level. At the very least it will give him some starting experience on the big league level which he can carry over to spring training next year in hopes of making the rotation.
