The Boston Red Sox have signed 1B Carlos Delgado to a minor league contract. The Red Sox worked out Delgado on Friday and apparently liked what they saw. According to Ken Rosenthal of foxsports.com, Delgado will receive $20,000 per month at Triple-A and a pro-rated portion of $3 Mil in the majors. The Red Sox have also agreed to not offer him arbitration and if Delgado is not brought up to the MLB by Sept 1, he is allowed to become a free-agent.
