According to Jon Paul Morosi of foxsports.com, Carlos Beltran has cleared waivers and can now be traded.
This is not a surprise as Beltran is still obviously struggling from his knee surgery during the off-season. Anyone who claimed Beltran would have taken on the $24 Mil remaining on his contract, which is a very hefty price tag on anyone, let alone a player coming back from an injury. Don't expect a trade before the end of this season but you can expect Beltran to be heavily shopped in the off-season.
