According to Andy Martino in the Daily News, Jenrry Mejia will likely re-join the Mets in September, when rosters expect after the first of the month.
Martino cites a team source who said Mejia will either be a relief pitchers if the Mets are in contention, or be a starting pitcher if they are out of contention.

Lets face it, as much as we all want to consider the Mets contenders for a playoff spot, they are far from it. They have already experimented with Mejia in the bullpen and it did not work out as planned. Bring him up and let him get experience as a starter. This way he has a few starts under his belt, gets rid of the butterflies, and is ready to go as a starter in 2011.
