Trade Rumors: The Rumors Are Flying.


The Major League Baseball non-waiver trade deadline is today at 4 PM. Here is an update on trades that have already gone down and rumors that are flying:


The Mets offered Luis Castillo and Oliver Perez to the Chicago Cubs for Carlos Zambrano. The Cubs rejected the offer and are hoping that Zambrano can re-capture his old form so that his trade value increases. The Cubs will explore a Zambrano deal again in the off-season.


The Tampa Bay Rays Acquired RHP Chad Qualls from the Arizona Diamondbacks for a player to be named later.


The Padres, Cardinals, and Indians are expected to complete a 3 team trade that will send OF Ryan Ludwick to the Padres, Jake Westbrook to the Cardinals, and prospects tothe Indians.


The Tigers, White Sox, and Rays are stll in on Adam Dunn. Jim Bowden of Fox Sports radio says there is a 50/50 chance a Dunn deal gets completed.
