Two sources tell Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com that the Astros would need to be "overwhelmed" in order to trade Brett Myers.
Opinion: Myers is another guy I think would be a good fit for the Mets. He has good stuff even though his fastball has decreased in velocity the last few years. He has experience pitching in New York being a former Phillie. Plus, I feel it would be added incentive for him to help the Mets bypass the Phillies and really stick it to his former team that gave up on him. Myers stats on the year look like this:
