Jon Heyman on Trades with WFAN:

Jon Heyman of Sports Illustrated was a guest host on WFAN this morning with Marc Milusis. During the 1st part of the 12:00PM hour they went through a number of players who have been rumored in trades. Heyman feels that it will be an active trading deadline. Here is a wrap-up on what Heyman said:

Roy Oswalt - Heyman feels that Oswalt will be traded. His $16 mil option will be picked up by whatever team he goes to. Heyman says that he thinks Oswalt is being greedy in the fact that he asked for a trade but then is demanding his option be picked up. Heyman says that Oswalt wants to go to the Cardinals but feels that the Phillies are the team that is showing the most interest. If Heyman had to guess he thinks that Oswalt will end up in Philadelphia.

Ted Lilly - Heyman also thinks Lilly will be dealt but is unsure as to where. He lists the Mets, Twins, and Dodgers as possibilites. He says that he is really the only trade chip the Cubs have although the $5 mil remaining on his contract might be an issue for interested teams.

Jorge Cantu - Heyman feels that Cantu will be acquired by the Texas Rangers.

Fausto Carmona - Carmona is not going anywhere according to Heyman.

Jake Westbrook - According to Heyman, he could be dealt before the July 31st deadline but would not be surprised if he was also traded as a waiver trade after Aug 1st.

Yankees - Heyman feels that the Yankees will do something. He says the Yankees love Ty Wiggington but feels that Peter Angelos will not trade with the Yankees. Cody Ross intrigues the Yankees but the price is still too high. Heyman also stated that he would not be shocked if Adam Dunn winds up in a Yankees uniform.
